Arctic Realms enhances the classic Minecraft experience with carefully selected quality-of-life improvements designed specifically for multiplayer gameplay. These enhancements simply address multiplayer-specific challenges without fundamentally changing how Minecraft works.
🌍 World & Environment Enhancements
Player-Friendly Improvements
- Fire tick disabled: Prevents griefing and accidental base destruction in a shared world.
- Crop trampling disabled: Respects other players’ farms and food production.
- Fast leaf decay enabled: Reduces cleanup time after community tree harvesting.
Technical Changes
- Fixed sand/gravity-block duping mechanics: TNT/carpet/rails duping still works for community farm projects.
- Bedrock remains unbreakable: Prevents world leaks and maintains world integrity.
- Dynamic view distance: 8 chunks standard; adjusts during high activity to keep server gameplay smooth.
- Anti-Xray measures: You may notice ores/blocks changing around you while mining as a security measure.
- Player-friendly world border: Teleports players to spawn instead of damaging them.
⚔️ Mob Balance Adjustments
Mob Spawning Changes
- Reduced zombified piglin portal spawning.
- Toggle phantoms: Gives players control over this sometimes frustrating mechanic.
- Per-player mob spawn cap.
- Dynamic mob spawn rates: Based on player count (higher player count = lower spawn rate).
Improved Interactions
- Global spawn sound disabled: Silenced for Ender Dragon and Wither.
- Ender Dragon tracking: Damage for each player is tracked and announced at the end of the boss fight.

- Larger XP orb size.
